Day 3

Today we are working with an Adobe slide show program called Visual Communicator. VC allows you to publish a show with pictures, graphics, and audio. This afternoon, we'll travel to the other side of campus and work with the web design program Dreamweaver.

Day 2 at Newsplex focused, in part, on audio journalism. As part of the technical teaching pedagogy, we are producing and editing audio in Audacity and then adding it to our blog. I've recorded a VO with information about newsplex from their website...

Dr. Grant Speaks

First presentation of the day by Dr. Augie Grant talking about the best practices in convergent journalism. The key point is that we all need to be introduced to all kinds of media and realize that the world is changing. Even if we are not an expert in everything we still need to learn to embrace the new and evolving practices.
